Season's greetings! In our final newsletter of 2022 we share news about six agreements with publishers, benefiting hundreds and thousands of scholars. Three include waived or discounted Article Processing Charges, boosting open access publishing in scholarly journals. Highlighting further progress in opening access to knowledge, we are pleased to announce the launch of the UNESCO Open Science Toolkit and a National Open Science Action Plan in Ukraine. In blogs, EIFL’s Ramune Petuchovaite highlights two useful reports on public access to computers and the internet in libraries; EIFL’s Lorraine Estelle discusses EIFL licensing coordinators’ experiences of negotiating and managing transformative agreements, and guest bloggers Desmond Oriakhogba and Dick Kawooya report on the status of reproductive rights organizations in Africa. Read about our events, past and present. Enjoy the issue and all the best for the New Year!
